Coach Craig Appleby
Coach Appleby begins his fourth season with the Wasps soccer program.    Coach Appleby's vision is to build E&H soccer into a solid competitive program in the ODAC and Division III.
Appleby believes the groundwork has now been laid and that the Wasps should be ready to win on a consistant basis.  This year's recruiting class is the strongest in his four years at the helm.  Coach Appleby is no stranger to the ODAC conference.  He spent two years (97-98) as assistant coach at Washington & Lee University.  Coach Appleby came to E&H from Wofford College, where he served as assistant coach for two seasons.  He also spent two years coaching youth club soccer in Kingwood, Texas.

Coach Appleby began playing soccer at age 6 in Troy, Michigan and has not been away from the game since.  He was the high school player of the year in South Carolina as he led the state in scoring, and led his Irmo High School team to three consecutive state championhips.  He went on to play at Wofford College for one, year where he set the Freshman scoring record with 17 goals.  He was also named First Team All-South as a Freshman for NCAA Division II.   After one year at Wofford, he transferred to UNC Charlotte. The 49'ers were ranked as high as #2 in the nation, and Appleby finished his Charlotte career ranked in the school's top 15 in scoring.  After graduating with a degree in Economics, he went to Germany to play with Tus Celle in the German Division III.  After a year in Germany, he returned to the United States to play in the A-League with the National Champion Charleston Battery and later with the Raleigh Flyers and the Richmond Kickers.  He retired four years ago after playing one season with the Greenville Lions.
